MRC has today attended the final meeting that the legislators have organised with all the involved stakeholders and NGO's from civil society, during which the Bill to be proposed tomorrow in Parliament was approved.
The MRC regards the introduction of this Bill as a milestone in the legal recognition of the rescuer, being it during service or as a civilian. When every second counts, procrastinating life-saving aid due to doubts on legal liability was proving to be a hurdle for MRC's continuous effort to advocate for more civilian training in the provision of Immediate Care and CPR.
Changes to both Criminal and Civil Code will be made in this regard.
